 prompt- Walt Disney [link] .Walt Disney: December 5, 1901- December 15, 1966 This tribute to Mr. Disney includes some of his most popular and beloved characters from one the first to the most recent: Left (pre- 1966):  Oswald the Lucky Rabbit (introduced 1927) Snow White, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves (December 21, 1937) Donald Duck (introduced in Wise Little Hen, 1934) Peter Pan, Peter Pan (February 15, 1953) Tinker Bell, Peter Pan (February 15, 1953) Mary Poppins, Mary Poppins (August 27, 1964) Mickey Mouse (introduced in Plane Crazy, May 15, 1928) The Redhead- from the original Pirates of the Caribbean ride (though it didn't open until March 18, 1967, Pirates of the Caribbean was the last ride Walt Disney was involved in developing)Right (post- 1966): Tron, Tron (July 9, 1982) Ariel, The Little Mermaid (November 17, 1989) Beast, Beauty and the Beast (November 22, 1991)Simba, The Lion King (June 15, 1994) Stitch, Lilo and Stitch (June 21, 2002) Captain Jack Sparrow, Pirates of the Caribbean movie trilogy (introduced in Curse of the Black Pearl, July 9, 2003) Tiana, The Princess and the Frog (coming December 11, 2009)Prismacolor colored pencil with marker underlay on charcoal paper. Approximately 30 hrs. Not 100% complete, border needs work and I need to take a better picture of this rather large piece. References from various Disney films used including screencaps and Google image search. |
