It does. The more information that comes out on the McNair story makes me feel ill. A married father of four killed with his girlfriend.
[link]Men of character are just a fairy tale aren't they? They don't really exist.

Lord, have mercy.

What a downer in the midst of Fourth of July celebrations. I just heard the news that Steve McNair, former NFL QB, was found shot dead today. He was 36.
So sad to hear. I'm a big NFL fan and Kurt Warner fan (AZ Cardinals). McNair was the Titans' quarterback at one time and played against Warner when he was with the Rams Super Bowl XXXIV. St. Louis narrowly missed being beaten by the Titans. I always admired Steve McNair. I hope the woman who was also found dead wasn't really his girlfriend- he was married with four boys and, as far as I know, wasn't divorced.
Wow...

Have a safe and happy Fourth to those in the States.

Hug your loved ones.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I made two promises to myself this summer: 1) get back in shape and get tighter control on my blood sugars and 2) get a life again. So 1 is coming along pretty good. 2,eh, I've got work to do there. The mornings have been the worst for me either due to sinuses or wonky blood sugars at night. I have bad headaches in the morning and don't start feeling better until late at night. Not. Good. So I decided that no matter how rotten I feel I'm going to do
something. Embarassingly enough, I came to this resolution after a couple of weeks of laying on the couch from 9-10 watching Lazytown on Noggin. When you start feeling guilty for laying around and wondering, "What would Sportacus think?" because you know he wouldn't approve, you know psychosis is setting in and you need to something, anything to fight it off.
Sooo....
Last week, Lazytown music came in handy for Vaction Bible School Summer Camp and entertaining my boys in the morning. I was back in K-1st boys again and boy, was it crazy. 41 boys in all and helpers who were not very helpful, save two.

Even though this was the first year I was actually glad to see camp end (9-3 is a looong day for the younger ones), it's hard to stay annoyed with the boys when one invites you to a sleepover and 5 are calling you mommy and telling or that boys rule and girls drool except for you- you're cool. Or when on Sunday morning, they all attack with hugs and would rather play with you than the teen guys in the room.
I'm finally getting a move on all the projects I've got going on this summer. First up are a few prize arts from the

Contest and then it's onto a series of custom dolls commissioned by

. I'm also tentatively planning on the first OOAK that I'm going to sell. So, much to do and not a whole lot of summer left.
Gee, 2 might have to be put on hold until the fall!
